White Oak Savanna, formerly known as Green Spirit Farm, is an organic, eco-friendly and sustainable farm/event space for weddings, corporate meetings, retreats, farm-to-table meals and music festivals. Expected to open in 2017, White Oak Savanna’s cathedral-like barn (originally built by Charles Lloyd Jones, Frank Lloyd Wright’s first cousin) is being restored to its original grandeur with harmonious updates reflecting rustic, modern-day charm. The barn has been christened the “Lloyd Jones Barn Pavilion.”
Set on over 60 acres of Oak Savannah Prairie nestled in the Driftless region of Southwest Wisconsin, just 35 miles west of Madison, White Oak Savanna is home to ancient oaks, indigenous plants, grasses and wildflowers. Weddings and other events will include full access to acres of trails, outdoor gathering spaces such as the enchanting Savannah Sanctuary, and exclusive accommodations for the happy couple and their wedding party.
Our mission is to create a welcoming environment that harmonizes with the indigenous flora and fauna using sustainable practices and renewable energy sources including solar and wind power as well as rain water collection.
